A brief history of our company.....In 1964, Marty opened Kingston Automatic Transmission on Summer Street in Kingston center behind what is now the Post Office. His landlord, Benny McFarland, operated a GMC franchise next to the transmission shop. In 1967, when Benny decided to retire, he offered to sell the dealership to Marty. Marty's GMC was born. In 1970 the dealership was incorporated as Marty's Inc. We moved to our current location (which at the time was Smith Lane) in 1974. The town changed the address to Independence Mall Way in 1997. We have seen a lot of changes in the town and the marketplace since our beginnings and have taken great pride in growing and changing with them. In 1999 Christine purchased the dealership from her father Marty and completely renovated our facility. We purchased the Isuzu franchise in 2006 to complement our GMC light duty and medium duty lines. We look forward to the future and our place in it.
